Seven More Days for Proposals

Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone! As we say goodbye to one year and greet another, we would like to encourage you to submit a proposal for DERAIL. You can even make it your New Year’s resolution. We won’t judge ;). Okay, that was corny. Send your proposal to the DERAIL Crew by submitting this form. If you would like to check out what other DERAIL presenters have discussed the past, click here for 2017 and here for 2016. If you have any questions, email or find us on Twitter @derailforum.

Deadline Extended for Proposal Submissions!

Happy holidays, everyone! We on the planning crew have decided to extend the deadline for proposals! Proposals are now due through this form by Sunday, January 7, 2018 by 11:59 pm. Remember! All you need for your proposal, aside from basic info about yourself (name, email, etc.) are a working title and a 250-word abstract.

Questions, comments, and concerns can be directed to and @derailforum.

One More Month for Proposals!

As your semester is winding down, and you are hopefully getting to share enjoyable moments with loved ones, we hope that you remember to submit a proposal for DERAIL. Remember, proposals are due on January 1, 2018 through this form. The form will request a working title and a 250-word abstract, along with information about the duration, style, and technical requirements of your presentation. A more thorough outline is not expected until after you have already been selected to present. As such, if you are not completely done with your presentation, but you have an idea that would fit with the themes of DERAIL, don’t let that stop you from presenting a proposal.

Thank you to those of you who attended the info session earlier today. If you were unable to make it, it has been recorded and will be uploaded to the Simmons College SLIS YouTube channel. If you subscribe to the channel, you will be notified when the video is available.

Any questions, comments, or concerns can be directed to or @derailforum. You can also request a sample submission form for drafting purposes via the DERAIL email.
