The DERAIL planning committee is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all participants and attendees, including those participating online. Harassment will not be tolerated in any form.
Harassment includes verbal comments related to race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, country of origin, ability, physical appearance, religion, veteran status or other protected status. Discriminatory, offensive and/or hostile images in public spaces, intimidation, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of forum activities, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention are also constitutive of harassment and will not be tolerated. Participants or attendees who violate the anti-harassment policy will be asked to leave by Forum organizers.
If at any point during the forum you experience or witness violations of this anti-harassment policy or feel uncomfortable in the forum environment (including online spaces) please inform a planning crew member on-site or send a private message to DERAIL or to specified crew members via email or Twitter. You can also email the forum organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org for less urgent matters or questions.
Recording & Social Media Policy
As a forum dedicated to the active reflection and feedback from participants, DERAIL is intended as an open forum for attendees to discuss on social media and take pictures. Flash photography is prohibited. If you do not want to be photographed or recorded, please notify one of the forum organizers prior to the start of the sessions. As a courtesy to other participants, please always ask prior to creating sound or video recordings of any sessions.
