DERAIL is intended to be a safe and supportive environment for all physical and virtual attendees and participants. We ask that all attendees and participants help us facilitate the creation of an engaging and safe space for these complex conversations by following some ground rules:
-Be aware of how your language and behavior impacts others.
-Take responsibility for your actions and be conscientious.
-Respect the opinions, beliefs and points of view of all attendees and participants.
-Never touch someone or cross boundaries without explicit verbal consent.
-Do not wear perfumes or heavy scents as this may impact other participants
Participants may discuss sensitive, offensive or triggering topics during sessions but these topics should be communicated to participants before the start of the session.
All participants are expected to read and adhere to the DERAIL Anti-Harassment Policy. Any attendees who experience or witness infractions of the DERAIL Code of Conduct should contact a DERAIL organizer (or moderator, if occurring in an online environment) immediately to enable us to address the issue with the violating attendee and seek an amicable resolution.
